Hi! My name is Mariel (mehr-ee-yell). As a counselor I find myself interested in almost all modalities and approaches I come across, however I am most passionate about the psychodynamic, person-centered, and multicultural approaches to counseling. I believe everyone has a unique story to share and we must always take into consideration a person’s context and perspective on life and relationships as a core component of the healing process. My goal is to create a safe environment where you can be open and vulnerable and share your stories without feeling judged or shamed.

As a child of immigrants, I am also passionate about being able to support during those times of adjustment, and the struggles of finding one’s identity and space in a new environment. I believe in making mental health therapy accessible, contributing to a positive change in the culture, and in creating an enriching and nurturing space for you to pursue your therapy goals. I am very honored to be given the chance to be a pillar of support for people throughout their journey in life.
