Hello, my name is Megan! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I was drawn to counseling by a passion for being a witness to people’s truth and a support in their journey toward their best self. I approach counseling through a holistic, humanistic, and trauma informed lens, building a strong, safe therapeutic relationship through deep empathy and a nonjudgmental curiosity that will guide us through meaningful healing and growth work.

Counseling is a collaborative experience in which we work together to uncover and understand subconscious barriers to your personal growth and healing and making meaning and change in a supportive and safe environment. You are the expert in your self and your lived experience, and in counseling I meet you where you are and respect and value that expertise. In session we will explore with curiosity together, building hope and insight along your therapeutic journey.

I work with individuals with a variety of presenting concerns. These concerns include trauma and trauma histories, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, and adjustment difficulties. Because of each person’s uniquity in their self and their concerns, I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches to find what best resonates with you and supports your goals for counseling. These approaches include person-centered, existential, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapies and polyvagal and attachment theories.

Thank you for the opportunity to share a bit about myself. I look forward learning more about you as well!
